Bubble Scrapbook Design

Jolene Neo
July 6th, 2007

I love this series of bubble photos, so I decided to start on this. This template is free but do check my terms of use before downloading. To use this template, I have prepared the download such that you only need to copy & paste your favorite photos in Photoshop to insert your photos in. Isn’t it SIMPLE? Check out the tutorial for Photoshop users. I have also tried to prepared a transparent layer for non-Photoshop users. Please let me know if you have any problems with it.

  1. After you download, unzip the file. Open file in photoshop, you will see the below design. Select 3 of your favorite water/bubble play photos.scrapbook01_01.jpg
  2. Among the 3 photos, choose one that you wish to place in the center circle. Go Menu > Select all (Ctrl + A). Then do a copy of the photo by selecting Ctrl + C. Now, select my template, under the layer property palette, highlight “Insert Picture Center” layer. Now, you just paste the photo into the layer.

  3. If the photos does not fit nicely in the circle, you may use the Move Tool (V) to move the photo. Or if the size does not feel right, try adjusting the size by using the transform function. Go Menu > Edit > Free Transform (Remember to hold the Shift key while performing transform so as to retain the ratio of photo)

  4. Now select the icon circle in Red in the “Insert Picture Left” layer . Repeat step 2-3. Do the same for “Insert Picture Right” layer.scrapbook01_04.gif

How do you “carve” out the picture on the right. I suppose not by using magnetic lasso, right?

:em43: nice to hear that you are actually going through my tutorials. You can repeat step 4 for photo on the right. Select the circle for layer “Insert picture right” & paste the photo inside. boleh?
