So sorry for the lack in posting these few days as I am really busy unpacking my house. Last weekend, I also celebrated my Joy’s 2 year old birthday. So you all can look forward to a FREE birthday template soon!
I would also like to congratulate Gladys & Joanne for winning the personalised design from me. If you want to join this contest to WIN a FREE Personalised Scrapbook Design from me, CHECK OUT HERE!!
Finally, this is the long awaited SECRET!! My studio Play Shots with my baby Joy when she was 5 months. I set up the backdrop in 10 mins. Shot all the photos in another 15 mins. Check how I did this!

- You need to find a suitable location at home with some natural lighting shining into your house. For me, I have chosen my balcony.

- Next, you need to find a backdrop that can cover the wall. If your child is bigger, you would need a bigger backdrop. For us, we have chosen a green cloth as our back drop & we use a bamboo pole to support it at the top. Other than the backdrop, you also need a clown to make your child *SMILE*.

- Before bringing your child to this spot, you need set up your camera on a tripod. Next, you need to test the lighting with your camera on the tripod. I have shot about 10 shots before I finalised on my favorite camera settings. As for camera, I highly recommend FujiFilm F31d. I have bought the older version, FujiFilm F10 & I simply love it. This camera is very popular among the professional photographer simply because of the cheap price compared to other brands of similar quality. I will share more on this camera in future postings as I believe you do need to owe a good compact digital camera for getting a reasonably good shot.

ISO : 800
Exposure : 1/150 @ F/5.6 - Now, you are ready to go. Remember to dress up your little cutie. Do some experimentation with the different position & posture. In total, I have shot about 70 photos in 15 min. For children/baby photography, you have to shoot continuously while your “clown” entertains the kid. Because your baby would not know how to pose.
- The last step is to enhance your baby’s photo with Photoshop!

That’s very natural!!!

Ya. Thans
..Its very tedious to take baby/children photos. You just need to press the shutter continuously while someone is distracting him/her. I wanted to take more shots but my gal wants to climb out.
Out of 70 shots, only about 8 photos turn out GOOD.

Yep… I totally agree with ya. Just gotta keep on snapping
and that’s why I took over 9000 shots till date. My boy is 29mths old

Ya meh!! For this setup. Sometimes, i didnt even look at the camera viewer. (* provided you have already set up the camera on the tripod with forcusing done) I just press the shutter continously & entertain my gal. You cant wait for them to smile. By then, it will be too late
